Episode 6 of WHySE Creatures Stories

Do you already know Snake?
You already know Rat and Dog. Today, a new creature joins – fresh from Brussels and the EU Sustainable Energy Week.
Snake is a lawyer. An expert in German and European energy law. And he just returned with a suitcase full of regulatory insights.
Dog: “So – what did you bring back?”
Snake: “Three things. First: the EU is serious about the post-2030 framework. Second: hydrogen is getting clear guardrails – technology-neutral, but sector-specific. Third: T-MED is the new buzzword.”
Rat: “T-MED?”
Snake: “Targets, Milestones, Enforcement, Delivery. The Commission wants National Energy and Climate Plans to be more binding. No more wish lists – measurable targets with consequences. I translate Brussels policy into clear project guidelines.”
Dog: “That sounds like investment security.”
Snake: “Exactly. And like Governance 2.0. The Clean Industrial Deal sets the direction: those planning H₂ projects will get clearer rules. But – and this is crucial – only those who understand the rules can use them.”
What does this mean for SMEs and municipal companies in Germany?
→ The EU is building the framework. But understanding it and translating it into concrete projects – that’s the real challenge.
That’s exactly what Snake is for – insights into energy law.
Planning an H₂ project and wondering which EU rules apply to you? Let’s have a chat – before the framework is in place and you’re left in the dark.
